Terms of Service

These Terms govern use of AskJASP at askjasp.com (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. Privacy details are in the Privacy Policy. French publisher information is in the Mentions légales.
1. The Service
AskJASP is the public website for the FromZero project (open models on Hugging Face under fromziro). It is a free hobby project that provides:
- an informational catalog of FromZero open models at /model-cards/ (including Hugging Face READMEs rendered by us);
- an experimental Browser Lab for local completion in your browser after you load public model files (catalog via D1).
The Service does not include user accounts, billing, hosted multi-user AI chat, or server-side generation of your prompts. We may change or withdraw features at any time.
2. AI and experimental features
Browser Lab outputs are machine-generated by small models running on your device (typically WebGPU and/or WASM / ONNX on your GPU or CPU). Outputs may be inaccurate, incoherent, biased, offensive, or unsafe. Do not rely on them for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or other high-stakes decisions. You are responsible for your inputs and how you use outputs.
Model-card pages may display Hugging Face README text for convenience (Hub-hosted content may be incomplete or outdated). Licenses and Hub terms still apply. AskJASP is FromZero’s public site and does not guarantee accuracy or endorse every statement on a card.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 15 years old to use the Service (including the Browser Lab).
4. Models, licenses, and third parties
FromZero model weights, licenses, and documentation are published mainly on Hugging Face under the
fromziro org
- part of the same FromZero project as AskJASP - and remain governed by those model licenses and Hub terms.
Lab downloads usually use Hugging Face *-web / browser ONNX packages - conversion artifacts of source model repos; source license obligations generally still apply.
Runtimes (for example Transformers.js / ONNX Runtime Web) and CDNs have their own terms.
Discord and the Hugging Face Hub platform are independent third parties when you follow outbound links or download files from them.
AskJASP is not responsible for Hub or CDN outages, third-party platform policies, or offline model outputs.
5. Hardware, bandwidth, and downloads
Local inference and model downloads may use substantial bandwidth, disk/cache, RAM/VRAM, battery, and may increase heat or noise. We do not warrant that any browser, OS, GPU, or device will support the lab. Before a first download, the lab may ask you to confirm that you accept downloading weights and runtime files.
6. Acceptable use
You must not attack or overload the site, bypass Cloudflare or other security controls, scrape in a way that harms availability, or use the Service unlawfully. Do not attempt to use experimental models as production systems for others without appropriate rights and safeguards.
7. Intellectual property
AskJASP site text and branding are owned by the site operator. FromZero models and cards remain under their respective licenses. For site IP concerns: contact@askjasp.com.
8. As-is; liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AskJASP and its operators are not liable for indirect or consequential damages from use of the Service. Mandatory rights under applicable law remain unaffected. Aggregate liability is limited to amounts paid to us for the Service (currently zero).
9. Changes and availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. Continued use after we post a new “Last updated” date means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, subject to mandatory consumer protections where they apply. Courts in France have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer forum rules.
